Overview

Experience the highlights of Oahu on a full day “Circle Island” tour with a knowledgeable and fun local guide in a small group setting.

In new premium vehicles, you will be picked up from your lodging and into the hills above Honolulu to the National Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl Crater. This is a place where over 53,000 veterans were laid to rest from the many major wars of the 20th century. Then you will head up through the middle of the island, stopping first at Green World Coffee Farm (for coffee and chocolate tastings), then at the Dole Pineapple Plantation ( to enjoy a pineapple whip treat, cutting & tasting demonstration, and a short gardens tour).

The tour will continue by visiting multiple beaches on the North Shore, renowned not just for their white sand and turquoise water but also as the legendary surf capital of the world. During the winter times, monster waves attract surfers and spectators from afar. Stops include the famous Sunset Beach, Hukilau Beach*, and Haleiwa Beach where turtle sightings are common.

We will stop at a well-known local shrimp food truck for a lunch break and after lunch, the tour will take you to the historical Waimea Valley and the beautiful Waimea Bay.

The next stop will be at a local tropical fruit stand, where you can try out the local delicacy deep fried bananas and also buy local fruits or banana bread.

The tour will take you down to the Eastern shore which has amazingly beautiful coastal views, including Chinaman’s Hat, scenic farms, and mountains. Don’t forget to try macadamia nut tasting at a farm and also try your hand at nut cracking. You will get many opportunities to stop for pictures along the way.

As you cross through the mountains, you’ll stop for a climactic view of the eastern coast and offshore islands at Pali Lookout**. Before the tour concludes, you'll get a short driving tour of some of the famous sites of Honolulu, including historical palaces and famous museums such as the Iolani Palace.

Takeaway

Beautiful scenery and the opportunity to explore and taste local food, fruits, and different types of macadamia nuts.
